220,000 deaths is now considered a success. Congrats on being part of a cult.
At least he's not a part of the cult of fear and trepidation in face of the 11th or 12th biggest pandemic so far. No one is saying we don't need to find a cure and therapy and a vaccine which has been in several trials for a long time now …we are saying that lockdowns aren't the answer. and that the government shouldn't impose them..

I don't want lockdowns. I want a government that doesn't look like Germany in WWII telling its citizens they are winning the war when they are clearly losing.

The fact that you, and a few others, keep questioning my affiliation as a Republican is what I find humorous. I’ve been a registered republican far longer than Trump (since I was 18). This game will be the first time I’ve voted for a Democratic candidate for President since I voted for Jimmy Carter in my first grade class’ voting exercise in 1980. I guess that makes me a waffler in some people’s eyes (but Trump isn’t one ironically).

For all that is holy, I have given multiple policy and non-personality reasons for my decision to vote Biden. Just look up a few posts about coronavirus and how the WH is now moving to embrace (rapid) herd immunity. Is that based on personality?

You create more straw men than a scarecrow factory. Just stop.
Whoa, you and I are the same age.
And I'm older than both of you then.

WAY TO VOTE Oklahoma!! I don't really care who you vote for, but it make me very happy to see so many American's participating!

Well you do care...it’s obvious. But it is good that okies are voting...just need to vote in big number on Election Day in person as well. Or are you going to be touting closing polling places to protect from covid? Bottom line polls better damn well be open on Election Day.
In person early voting starts tomorrow 8am-6pm at the Stillwater community center.

LOL they better be open, I'm voting in person and taking my kids to show them the process because they both get to vote in the next one

We like to pretend that our elections are the will of the people. Hard to say that when only 50% of our voting age population actually participate
It's the will of the states anyway...and the electors. It's a Republic not a true Democracy. Cool about teaching your kids the process...that's awesome. I should have done that when mine were little. Nice Civics lesson.
Try to do that with each kid. 1 or 2 might not vote the way I wish, but they are voting. Next one will be eligible at midterm.

It’s a global pandemic, a horrible thing and there is plenty of tragedy worldwide. EU is now at 260k deaths. Trumps fault as well I’m sure.

There are success stories too, just depends on if you want to see them or not. From the work done by hospitals, Dr’s, nurses running at capacity for months, to the companies that stepped up and provided stockpiles of PPE and ventilators, progress in testing availability, therapy and vaccine developments at record pace.

Feel free to stay cooped up in you basement though another 8 or 9 months watching cnn.

Nope. The chart I sent is just excess deaths. They’re not predicting anything related to Covid deaths. This is simply how many deaths were projected compared to how many we had during that period. It correlates with the pandemic, which supports the causation.
There are now studies showing that people are delaying or ignoring needed care for their diseases because they are afraid of getting Covid-19. It is not certain at this point how many more deaths this will cause.
On top of that, I read somewhere that in 2019 we were being warned that it was gonna be a bad flu year because the past few had been mild. They specifically said that when that happens, people who would have died from flu the couple of years before get lumped into one season, causing excess deaths over the projected numbers.

Please with the WWII references...again. Ugh

we aren’t in a “war” we are fighting a virus. While it is important to defeat the virus we have many that are with us all the time and are never defeated...many that have taken over their history far more lives than this one so far. It’s new so we have to treat it differently and we are. We do have therapeutics we didn’t have six months ago and we are working hard for a vaccine...so dispute this current surge, we are and will win the battle of the virus. It’s not making light to put it in its proper place. Be careful wear a mask and take your vitamins and wash your hands. Stay away from the elderly and the immune compromised and be care around others. But don’t slit your throat to cure a cold.

You guys seems like the type that might know... Where the heck is my dad reading/seeing that they're gonna shut off the internet after the election?? Is that some martial law conspiracy that he's seeing?? I think my dad has finally figured out how to work YouTube and I'm tempted to log into his account to try and block all the conspiracy BS he watches... lol
It might have to do with the way Twitter and Facebook are talking about censoring Trump if he tries to declare victory....... Not quite shutting off the internet.

generalizations: The younger generation fact check or look at other sources before they just believe something they see/read on internet...older generations believe whatever they see and just share it. (if it's on the internet it must be true)
That's weird, I see a mix of both in all generations. I see a lot of older people with a distrust in social media in general and fact check it all. I see a lot of young kids that are swayed by every little utterance from a celebrity on social media no matter how wrong it is.

It’s much more complicated than that. Watch the Social Dilemma. You will learn that the internet knows more about you than what you think. It’s nearly impossible to fact check because you will be given results that align with how you think already.
Everyone should be using DuckDuckGo! It's free and NEVER tracks you. And you can see how many cookies it's blocking from a particular site.
And use the Brave browser to help block those 3rd party trackers on other sites.

Since we are chatting about fraud, check this out! https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...rize-went-to-rightwing-group-beloved-by-trump
I would suggest you read up on veritas a little more. They've not been discredited anywhere. In fact he's win several lawsuits against people trying to discredit him.
Also, many groups have attempted to test the news media (conservative and liberal) by putting forth fake stories. It's been done to scientific journals too.

I think they should do that if either candidate tries to declare victory early.

7 hospitalized after Trump Rally in Omaha. Trump left rally at 9PM on Air Force One. However, a lack of buses to move the people led to 1000's being left out in freezing temps for 3+ hours

Other stories are saying it was only a couple of hundred left and they worked to get everyone out. They were overwhelmed with the number that showed up.

Why? If it is actually breaking election law then it is wrong. I don't agree with invalidating the ballots, but the county can't just do things that break the law.

You can’t understand that some of us aren’t them?
I’m not one of them...but I care about my freedom and yours and think that my vote for an arrogant Trump actually protects mine and your freedoms more than a vote for the insider / party guy Joe Biden. Pretty simple and sincere...yeah, so deplorable, right?
You are moving the goalposts and are not sincere. Your argument is that people are scared to say they are voting for Trump. They aren't and you know it. It's fine to not jump up and down about your vote, but that's not scares to tell people.
I can guarantee you that the people in Trump parades are not the ones afraid. Some people won't put up a Trump sign because of the part of town they live in, others won't say anything to friends because they are/were Democrat and all their friends are also and they are afraid to lose them... There are many reasons.

I think it is due to the severe anger, hatred, vitriol, and lack of ability to see other viewpoints that seemingly more on the left possess than the right. Certainly both sides have groups than are way extreme and hateful, but there is no doubt the intolerance level is escalated on the left.
Agree to Disagree...from my personal experience, I have encountered the opposite. I have said many times that I am an independent, but lean Left (most of you probably see me as Liberal cuz of my views on Trump)...My conservative friends; in which I have many act like I'm a Lunatic Liberal (ha). I have on occasions gotten into conversations with friends of friends, and when my Republican friends tell them I'm a "Liberal" the name calling starts (snowflake, socialist, Lib, crybaby, freeloader, etc) and the generalized attacks (oh u want everything given to you, you don't want your freedom, no guns, etc.) I promise you this has happened more than a couple of times...I tell them I don't agree with either side strongly, but that doesn't matter, cuz I'm not Conservative. So I know there are crazies on both sides, but I feel Conservatives truly can't understand how others don't agree with them (again, these are personal experiences)
Bet you wouldn't have to worry about a Biden sign getting stolen from your yard, your tires knifed, your cars having rocks thrown at them, or people coming up to you and just punching you because of a hat or shirt you are wearing supporting Biden.
Name calling, however immature, is not what is being spoken of here.

The Texas Supreme Court ruled 7 days ago they were not illegal. So not it is not breaking election law, it is not wrong and this is an attempt by the GOP in TX to try to get 100,000's of Thousands of votes thrown out.
