Mind if I ask where he is attending? I hope to God it is not our beloved alma mater.
He's a sophomore at TCC at the moment. Taking advantage of Tulsa achieves and getting a couple years of free tuition before it starts costing me a lot more than books and supplies to get social justice shoved down his throat.

Trust me it's going on at our alma mater also.

Was just curious. My kid stayed behind in Colorado when we moved down here and he did the same thing and will get his degree from CU Denver next spring at which time he will also have nine years of military service. He frequently amuses me with ridiculous stories about his professors doing stuff similar to this.

K-12 doesn't teach you how to teach children... I think public ed failed the individual that made this meme, not the target audience of it... :D
No it doesn't teach you how to teach, but they used to actually teach you how to be inquisitive and find information and solve problems. That would give you enough of the basics that you could teach your kids and when you got to a point where you didn't know what you were doing you could learn it all over again to teach them.

If you're trying to teach a 3rd grader to add and subtract then you're about 2 years late... ;) Plus there's more to teaching something than just knowing how to do it yourself... That's why we our teachers have BACHELORS DEGREES. Glad to see you value them...
That explains why I had to teach many a class after hours because my kids were clueless about how to do their homework. The people in control of the classrooms sure as hell weren't doing it and were completely incompetent.

I'm not saying all teachers. In some of the classes the teachers did a great job and the kids learned and were prepared. In others a pre recorded online course would have been a huge upgrade.

LOL your funny, I'm another concerned citizen watching the quality of our public schools go into the shitter as we spend more time on social justice than science.

True story this semester. My son, who happens to be an honor student in college at the moment has had his first three assignments in his Biology class. Not a damn thing about biology in any of them. 1st Write a letter to your senator for one of the listed social justice causes, the other two assignments were write 500 word essays about selected social justice causes. I made him go withdraw from the class so as not to waste any more of my money or his time.

Shit like that makes me have 0 respect left for our education system. The professor should be fired with prejudice and never be allowed to teach again. The students in a good education system should have no idea what the political leanings of the professors are. Not the first class he's had with some social justice going on but by far the worst.
Odd that I never experienced anything like that in all my schooling. But go ahead and post stereotypical memes and act as thought that's the norm and not the exception.

You must live under a bridge or keep your head in the sand. The social justice and identity politics are all over all the schools. This was simply the worst case of it I've seen to date.

Strange I rarely watch Fox News and never listen to Limbaugh.

I have to say the only way you could not see the social justice in the classroom is if you yourself were doing it. Thus blind to it. Heck it was going on in the 70's and 80's when I was in school but to a much lesser extent.

You do realize you're talking to a slobbering liberal idiot who is personally responsible for polluting untold numbers of young minds? Good luck trying to make sense of the muck he puts out. If anyone can afford it, they need to put their kids in private school and avoid the ideological trash who don't give 2 shites about the kids. The results of their efforts can be seen protesting for free stuff and socialism. It's how liberal teachers measure their success.
