They want the voters in the Texas and Arizona, they have enough illegal votes in California already.
Well, The Bernster wants felons in jail to have the right to vote. Maybe that was Hillary's requirement to support him? BTW, what does it say about you and your party when you believe that you will carry the jailed felon vote handily????

Didn't Florida do this just this past year?
Sort of.

"More than 100,000 felons were granted voting rights while former Gov. Charlie Crist was in office. But after former Gov. Rick Scott and state officials changed the rules in 2011, the number fell dramatically. As of last year, fewer than 3,000 people had their voting rights restored during Scott’s two terms.

In November, more than 64 percent of the state’s voters approved Amendment 4, which guaranteed restoration for nearly all felons upon “completion of all terms of sentence including parole or probation.” People convicted of murder or felony sexual offenses are ineligible."

Oh. Well I pretty much agree with that.

I thought I read something months ago where Florida had returned voting right to everyone incarcerated... (except murder/sexual offense felons)... regardless of where they were in the "terms of sentence" process.

I must have read it wrong.

If I pay into it, like social security then it's not socialism. That's my money supposed to be giving me a return on my investment. As many have said, it's become a Ponzi scheme.
may not be socialism, but it certainly is NOT your money, and it certainly is not an "investment". You can't get it back unless you happen to live beyond their projection... and if you die early, you can't send the balance to your heirs.

It's not your money, you (we, me) don't even have control over how much we might get back, if any.

I'm for the fair tax. Have been a long time.
LOL... that's freaking funny.... I just love it when people misuse or combine words to paint bad ideas into a good light.

"fair" tax.... really? why not just call it what it is... a consumption tax.

I'm neither for nor against, but there is not really fair about it.
As far as taxes go it's about as Fair as you can get taxing everybody equally across the board.

I have thought that is the best way to make everyone pay something and those that spend more (the rich) pay more. Want to save on taxes, buy less stuff. Seems pretty logical and easy. ANd anything that gets rid of the IRS is a good thing. Because tax law is not written to be fair, it is written as givebacks for congress. Read tax law sometime. Some laws are written in a manner that they only effect 1 single business in a state.
