Welcome to High Noon Highlights, a place to catch up on everything you missed in Oklahoma State Athletics.

It’s high noon...

Thomas Dziagwa set a goal this summer:

When most students were at home enjoying their summer, Oklahoma State Basketball captain Thomas Dziagwa was on the court. The O’Colly’s Hallie Hart wrote a fantastic piece about the goal that Dziagwa set for himself. Coach Mike Boynton set a challenge for him to make 25,000 shots during the summer and he worked to achieve it.

His coach’s words lingered in his mind, giving him a reason to continue.

Mike Boynton, the OSU men’s basketball coach, presented a challenge to Dziagwa at the start of June. Dziagwa, a junior guard from Temple Terrace, Florida, had to make 25,000 shots during the summer.

Boynton wanted to find a way to help Dziagwa improve, he said. He didn’t need to worry about boosting his self-esteem. Boynton once joked that Dziagwa’s picture is in the dictionary next to the word “swagger.” He didn’t have to encourage Dziagwa to speak up. In practice, Dziagwa’s dynamic voice often rings out above his teammates’. He brings fire to the court, keeping the Cowboys motivated as he yells not angrily but enthusiastically.

His work show the dedication need to be a captain of his team this year.

In the summer, he dedicated himself to spending time on the basketball court and made 25,000 shots.
A challenge from his coach prepared #OKState's Thomas Dziagwa to step up as a leader this season. https://t.co/Y2UrPQAUDj

Bedlam impact players from Oklahoma:

Our friends over at Crimson and Cream Machine wrote a fantastic piece detailing the players from Oklahoma that could make some noise in the in-state rivalry. This is great to read if you’re looking from insight into the opposing team.

Bedlam means a lot to me, and it also means a lot to these dudes. #Sooners #OkState https://t.co/fR2dulQqmh
