Game week is basically here!! Lets Hear those predictions..

I read up on the other OSU a tad and in a nutshell they have a decent Offense...but an atrocious Defense. The defense allowed at least 34 pts to every FBS opponent last season.

I'll say 45-21 Pokes. We need to go up there and light these guys up no matter who plays QB.

55-17 Pokes shave the beavers.

Tulsa is probably better than Oregon State. If OSU doesn't win this game by at least 3 touchdowns, well, it would probably be an indication this season will be a disaster. Oregon State is that bad.

Score: 42 - 14, good guys with the win. It better be an absolute blow out. I so hope it is.

I'm predicting an easy win but if it's tighter I wouldn't give up on the season. It's a late night game on the road against a team that has it circled. They could play up against us and keep it closer than it really should be.

I think the build up, wanting to send a message across the country, Friday night game prime time, P5 opponent, inferior opponent, rejuvenated Gundy, I think we go for the BIG win. I think he will want a few FGs kicked to get work in and to save some 4th down plays.

I’m gonna say 55-10.

38-20. Will struggle at times due to it being game 1, but should be a relatively easy W

No score given but the our ex-conference mates with the Denver Post predicting a win for Oregon State.

Bulletin Board worthy.

cut/paste:
Aug. 30: vs Oklahoma State
Result: Win
Record: 1-0
Comment: Great opportunity for the better-than-expected Beavers to ambush the unsuspecting, where-the-heck-is-Corvallis? Cowboys. But is it all downhill after Week One for the home team?

Not really our ex-conference mates. The article was written by Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News. The DP just used it. Obviously no research was done concerning out of conference opponents.

The Beavers are much improved this year from all I've read. Add in the weird start time two time zones away and this is definitely our toughest OOC game. We will need to play well to win. I can see a close game with both teams scoring a bunch of points.

Pokes 45-34

WHERE THE HECK IS CORVALIS?
That's easy to find. Just ask Coach Holliday and the baseball team.

17-56 Pokes roll all 3 QBs play
Like the score, but doubt 3 QBs play. The main two need all the reps they can get for experience and eval purposes. OTOH if you do put in the 2nd string OL en mass, then maybe you put in Costello just to protect the other 2?

I'm going with 41-21...it's on the road and often we are conservative in first games on the road...I'm hopeful that we don't hold back, but historically we do in these first games and we tend to play to our competitions level just a bit higher.

31-17 pokes. Offense takes a while to get going with new OC and 2 headed QB. Defense better than expected (I have to eventually be right if I keep saying this every year. Right?).
