Eddie. Eddie. Eddie

He was more than our coach. He was the face of our university, its athletic lifeline, and he was family.
My favorite Cowboy ever.

I so wished he could make it to the Hall of Fame ceremony. One year too late. At least he knew he made it in. 2020 has been quite the year and not in a good way.

Quite literally the only reason I started liking OSU sports. Changed my relationship with my alma mater. He will be missed and it helps knowing it seems like he was able to go on his time right after HOF.

Thank you Coach for so many great memories! Prayers go out for Steve, Sean, Scott and all their families. You’re one of the greatest Cowboys ever Coach! Rest well in the absence of pain and suffering and in the presence of our Lord and the company of Patsy and the Ten!

The reason I fell in love with OSU as a kid. Prayers for the family. RIP Coach. Truly one of the best to ever do it.

RIP Coach Sutton, before we heard of his death, we just decided to drive up to Stillwater. Had a great day looking around one of Eddie’s favorite towns. Thanks for all the great basketball.

I was always a diehard OSU football fan. Eddie turned me into an OSU basketball fan. Loved the scowl, loved his style, loved the man. Thank you for so many memories.
