Below are Chuba's 18 scoring runs this year. Half of those are from 7 yards or less, so he can be a short yardage back when needed. But the amazing thing to me is that 1/3rd of his scores (6) have been from 50+ yards. Amazing. The guy just can't be caught if he gets a step on a defender.

92 yd run-TCU
84 yd run-Kansas St
75 yd run-Tulsa
65 yd run-Iowa State
62 yd run-TCU
53 yd run-Org St

33 yd run-Tulsa
30 yd run-Tulsa
13 yd run-Texas
7 yd run-Texas Tech
6 yd run-Org St
4 yd run-Mcneese
3 yd run-Texas Tech
3 yd run-Texas Tech
3 yd run-Baylor
2 yd run-Org St
2 yd run-Baylor
1 yd run-Texas

He's now on pace for a 2,139 yard season. with 3 games to play in the regular season. Should have a Bowl game to add to that as well.

Was actually wondering about this during the game this past weekend and couldn't come up with a play where I remembered someone actually running him down.

Even with a great angle.

Almost entirely unrelated, but did anyone else see the KC game yesterday, when a running back broke into the open, with one defender having an angle, and Red 10 (Tyreek Hill) appeared from nowhere, cut in front of the defender, then ran up beside the back and SLOWED DOWN to escort him into the endzone. Thought I heard a roadrunner go "beep-beep!"

It was entertaining watching some of those guys "think" they only needed a certain angle on Chuba only to have him end up 5yds ahead of them once they finally figured out they math'd wrong... lol If you're chasing Chuba, you might as well set your angle to get him at the end zone, because if you're not close enough to get him within 5-10 of the line then you ain't catching him.

Tyreek may be the only one who could catch him.

I didn't hear mentioned on the post-game. But when was the last time we had a 92+ yard rushing TD? It seems like Tatum Bell had a long TD run in the Houston bowl in 2002.

Chuba makes me a little nervous when he is looking at himself on the jumbo with people on his heels.

Tatum got caught in the Houston Bowl, but he did rip off a 95 yarder vs. Tech.

They also mentioned on the post game that they believed it was the first time ANYONE had rushed for 200+ yards against a Gary Patterson coached TCU team in Big-12 play. TCU joined the Big-12 in 2012.

Think about the Big-12 running backs the last 8 seasons who couldn't do what Chuba did Saturday. Amazing...

Just noticed this in the Post Game notes from OKState.com

Hubbard's 92-yard run in the third quarter tied for the fourth-longest rushing play in Oklahoma State history. It was the longest since Justice Hill had a 92-yard rush against Missouri State in 2018. It marks the longest rush allowed by the TCU defense since a 95-yard rush in the 1993 season.

I believe they ended up confirming that it had never happened to any Gary Patterson coached team.

Crazy thing is he was basically stopped or walking, then saw the defender 10 yards away, THEN decided to take off after them. Unbelievable.

That’s the reason you never stop giving him the ball no matter what defense they are in. He probably starts chomping at the bit when he sees an 8 man box

Most intelligent comment in this thread. People bitch when they give the ball to CH, then they celebrate when he goes off.
