Just curious, why do you think this procedure means he is done?

I think he's done. He's "off the trail until further notice". He's also losing points in several polls, and I don't think his campaign can take off a couple of weeks and recover.

I'll concede, I thought he was pretty much done anyway before he had the stent stuck in his artery.

He isn't done but he should be. He's in his late 70's and had what I'm assuming was a mild heart attack. The stress of the campaign plus the stress of 4-8 years of the job for someone his age who isn't in great health can't have great long term results. He has been a true statesman and deserved a more fair shot 3 years ago but maybe he needs to step aside and let someone younger fight the battle.

Perhaps someone who happens to be Asian and not a socialist.

Oh his health will be fine. Because the healthcare he rails against saved his stupid ass
Well sort of. I think with this he shouldn't be running.
Here is my take. They say he had single vessel disease and had a stent. That was meant to be reassuring but got me thinking.
One of three things happened:
1. He had a heart attack of some sort. He got a stent rapidly which is standard of care anywhere. Nothing to do with his railing about health care as that would happen in Canada, UK etc. But, if he is having heart attacks campaigning, he should not be president at his age, IMHO.
2. He did not have a heart attack but his symptoms were severe enough that they needed to urgently stent (heart failure, shock, severe ongoing pain, etc.). Same as first, should not be pres.
3. What happened is what they implied, he had an episode of pain. No heart attack. They decided to take a look. They saw a blockage and fixed it and he should be fine. Well, that is the rub. Because, that should be medically managed, no stent required. We put stents in here in the $$$$ USA but there is no evidence of benefit. This is where he would be hypocrite taking advantage of the very expensive health care that he rails against.

Perhaps a moderate Iraq Veteran who happens to be gay. Either that or a vanilla Senator from Minnesota or another Iraq Veteran from Hawaii who is a little out there. I think the other dozen options give us 4 more years of Presidential Celebrity Apprentice (assuming the missing 20 minutes of tape aren't damning).
