The current Oklahoma State Cowboys were not the only ones to start their season this past week. Many future Cowboys started their seasons this last week and some the week before. We have recapped the performances of the players and their teams while providing stats of those that we could find.

Spencer Sanders:
Sanders and Denton Ryan took on Lancaster in the opening game of the season. There were many fans that were curious to see how Sanders would bounce back from injury. He shined in the opening game accounting for 6 total touchdowns and 487 total yards of offense in Ryan's 57-40 victory.

Stats: Passing 313 Yds 25-33 3 TDs , Rushing 174 Yds 7.91 Yds/Att 3 TDs

C.J. Moore:
Tulsa Union and Moore actually played a nationally televised game last week against Broken Arrow. After the victory over Broken Arrow, Union turned its sights on Euless Trinity out of Euless, Texas. Union dominated Trinity winning 38-7. Moore caught 2 TD pass in the game.

Stats: 2 REC 39 YDS 2 TDs

Bryce Bray:
Bixby took on Jenks this week and the Spartans were looking to get their 1st win against the Trojans since 1977. Bray and the Bixby offensive line paved the way for the Spartans to rally in the 4th quarter and win 35-18.

Stats: Bixby ran for 197 yards, 7 yards/attempt.

Jonathan Shepherd:
The Kilgore Bulldogs took on Nacogdoches in it opening game. After a tight, sloppy 3 quarters the Bulldogs broke it open in the 4th quarter and was able to control the game from there, winning 35-21. The Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing streak to Nacogdoches with the victory.

Stats: 1 REC 18 yards

Gabriel Lemons:
Coppell played Hurst L.D. Bell in their 1st game and blew out the raiders 58-23.

Jahmyl Jeter:
Jeter and Brennan opened the season on Saturday night against Reagan. The Bears came up short in this one, losing 27-34, despite the efforts of Jeter in the Bears ground game.

Stats: 21 carries 201 yards 9.57 avg 1 TD

Jacob Farrell:
Farrell and the Sulphur bulldogs defeated the Wynnewood Savages 44-14.

Jaelyn Nolan
Brownfield lost to Clyde 32-49, despite having the lead coming out of half time.

Stats: Passing 203 yards 1 TD 3 INTs, Rushing 158 yards 1TD

Hunter Anthony:
Tuttle came up short against Kingfisher on a night where the Tigers struggled to run the ball only gaining 93 yards on the ground.

Hunter Woodard:
Tuscola cruised to an easy victory over Villa Grove/Heritage 55-8.

Tyrese Williams:
Cypress Ridge will start the season next week against Morton Ranch

Blake Barron:
Barron and the Rockwall Yellow Jackets took on the Highland Park Fighting Scots on Friday. The yellow jackets got the victory over Highland Park after a high scoring affair 53-49.

Tyler Lacy:
Sachse played Trophy Club Byron Nelson in the opening game. Sachse had an outstanding defensive performance allowing only 6 points on 123 yards.

Stats: 8 tackles

Kolby Peel:
A&M Consolidated opened up at home against Copperas Cove. A&M won 34-14.

JayVeon Cardwell:
The Steele Knights took on the Madison mavericks this week. The Knights won easily 36-3.

Stats: 2 tackles

Jason Taylor:
Carl Albert was off this week and will play Ada next week.

Jarrick Bernard:
The Evangel Christian Academy Eagles won their opening game against the East St. Louis Flyers

Kanion Williams:
The South Oak Cliff Golden Bears won a close one over Ennis 29-28.
