    QB Discussion: Theory

The only thing I can say about the QB spot with any confidence is Gundy is committed to Cornelius and he's not likely to budge for a while.

Never in my life have i seen someone miss a spread by over 50 points then be smug about it.

Big 12 Power rankings week 4

Technically I don't think it qualifies as a shootout when we scored 0 points the last 40 minutes of the game. As far as ball control goes we have a decade of evidence you can just outrun Tech in a shootout. Just not with the horses we have this year.

    Positives From Last Night

The stick people made lots of noise with their sticks.

Wallace and Hill will both play on Sundays.

Sunday Morning Coaches - Week 4 (Sand kicked in our faces Edition)

As someone else sarcastically pointed out those help to carry us to a top 40 recruiting class. Half a billion in stadium upgrades, one of the best indoor practice facilities, the rant, the mullet, more changes of clothes than my wife has, all supposed to be big boosts to recruiting. This all...

Sunday Morning Coaches - Week 4 (Sand kicked in our faces Edition)

This. Everyone acted like anyone who didn't agree with "saving" the #2 and #3 guys was unable to do math. If it takes Cornelius several games to be prepared for actual game time wouldn't it be the same for Brown and Sanders? We have no #2 guy and the starter doesn't appear to be a guy to...

    We have to be patient...

Watched the presser on PFB and came away with a couple of observations. Gundy defended Cornelius every other sentence and said we need to be able to run block the other sentences. They need someone who doesn't have Parkinsons to hold the camera.

We need to respond in a big way this week. This may be the easiest game left on our schedule and all of the sudden, looking ahead, it's hard to see a bunch of wins.

    QB Discussion: Theory

I agree. I'm not excusing past decisions, just whining about the fact the offense couldn't stay on the field last night.

Sunday Morning Coaches - Week 4 (Sand kicked in our faces Edition)

Maybe I shouldn't make too much out of one off hand comment by Corndog, but I keep thinking about his early season statement that our goal is to make a bowl game. It's not the gutsy, shoot for the stars, type statement. Maybe that really did show a little insight into his perspective.

Sunday Morning Coaches - Week 4 (Sand kicked in our faces Edition)

To me that's the highlight of the game. Our fans historically have been a little defeatist (myself included) so the paddle people sticking it out and trying to create excitement is a big plus. What they lack in physical attractiveness (sorry had to say it) they made up for in fight.

    QB Discussion: Theory

Part of the challenge is we had little time to try alternative plans because the Offense was only on the field about 19 minutes.

    QB Discussion: Theory

I find it hard to believe 4 years of high school play, even if he was a starter, is better preparation than 4 years of practice in the exact system at the college level.

    QB Discussion: Theory

I hate the new redshirt rule. It's caused Gundy to hold back on game time for the #2 and #3 guys because he's saving them like the depression kids saved money. He's hitched his car 100% to 1 guy. If that guy is struggling there is no plan B.

    We have to be patient...

Someone forgot to tell that kid in Lubbock it takes patience and half a season to be able to play QB on this level.

Come on in here and eat some crow

You're prediction of the Boise State spread was off by 54 points. It's not a matter of opinion, that was ridiculous. Tonight's game exposed some big flaws which Corndog is not the biggest issue. You may turn out to be right on your 6 win prediction but that still remains to be seen. You've...

What is there to say? Worst loss in years, considering the point spread and an unranked opponent. Corndog looked bad, the O-line looked worse. Back to special teams problems, the D looked lost.

Almost. First home win in that stretch was 2003. 2001 was their last win in Stillwater, QB'd by Kliff Kingsbury.

It wasn't part of this streak but we also beat them in 2005 when it was our only conference win of the year and they were ranked #13.
