Spencer Sanders - Bringing something back

Who is endlessly praising him? These are some odd strawmen you are building. All I said is that he played better when the coaches simplified the offense for him. I’m not sure why you’re moving the goalposts from that specific point. Again, who ever claimed that you saying “the QB needs to play...

Spencer Sanders - Bringing something back

You just said that he struggled less when the playbook was condensed from a full field read to a half field read. Did he struggle still? Yes, but not as much. And that’s the same point I made. The OP’s statement was that he would have had more success with a wide open playbook that didn’t...

Spencer Sanders - Bringing something back

This is somewhat the wrong way around. Sanders struggled early last season when the coaches asked him to read too much. When they simplified the options for him, he did much better. And that’s to be expected from a redshirt freshman QB during his first season starting under a brand new OC. I...

Spencer Sanders - Bringing something back

Against TCU, he also ran the ball 19 times for 88 yards. It was pretty clear that the coaches felt like the best way to attack them was on the ground. Against KU, he injured his hand and didn’t play most of the second half. I’d say he had a really good passing day up until when he got injured.

    Earthquake?

“There’s no science to water disposal causing earthquakes! But you know what there is science behind? A good Obama conspiracy theory!”

    Inviting Former Players Back

Again, what specifically are you looking for in terms of “telling the story.” You’re being awfully vague instead of making direct comparisons. Actually, it was defensive players that wanted highlights like the OSU offensive players got. I have those same receipts...you’re remembering it...

    Inviting Former Players Back

The trend there is having a first year starting QB in two of those three years as well as revamping the entire defensive scheme in the middle. If there has been a recruiting fault, it was not getting a solid QB replacement between Rudolph and Sanders. That much is true.

    Inviting Former Players Back

In the past couple years, the program has made massive strides on social media selling the different aspects of the program from the facilities, to the players, to education, to gameday atmosphere, etc. What else do you propose they sell? As far as marketing present players, you’re completely...

    Inviting Former Players Back

The football program has asked players to come back every single year for a while now. Gundy has made a point to talk about it during multiple press conferences. Now, has he personally met with each and every player that has come back during this time? Probably not. And there’s no doubt that is...

How much time do you have?

That didn’t take long. Player tests positive for Covid

Sorry, I stopped here. If you actually think even just a quarter of these kids have personal trainers then there’s no reason to continue this discussion. Go look at their twitter/Instagram accounts to see how they’ve been trying to keep in shape.

That didn’t take long. Player tests positive for Covid

I didn’t say it would make or break a season, necessarily...although it could if a team has a big game right out of the gate and plays a team that has that extra two weeks of conditioning. The adjustment period is part of the two weeks. It, despite your belief, is an adjustment even for...

That didn’t take long. Player tests positive for Covid

....have you ever endured those types of workouts for two weeks straight? It’s a bigger difference than you think.

That didn’t take long. Player tests positive for Covid

I’d say voluntary workouts prior to preseason fall camp make a pretty big difference. I highly doubt any of these players got in the same standard of workouts they do during the on-campus voluntary workouts they get with the S&C coaches.
